Pure old-fashioned

Of course I had to make a stop in Niagara-on-the-Lake during my recent trip to the falls. I love a brick building with a painted sign on the side. I don't know if it's actually old or just looks old, but it's neat whatsoever. Happy Wednesday - tomorrow is my last day of work! For more signs, take a look at Signs, Signs.

Streaky sky

Sorry for my lack of posts recently, but I've been having another round of technical difficulties. My camera died a few weeks ago and now my computer has died as well. Last week I had visitors and then I was out of town this past weekend, so I haven't had time to research and get a new one until now.

This is a look at sundown over Lake Ontario from Niagar-on-the-Lake. I always love stopping by there. This shot was actually taken with the point and shoot camera I bought in PEI. It does do nice sunsets!

Wayne's World

Reflections from the window of Wayne Gretzky's wine shop in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Yes, the former hockey star really does have his own winery. But don't ask me how the wines taste, I've never tried one. For more reflections, take a look at Weekend Reflections.

Lacy shadows

We're back to Niagara-on-the-Lake. I love the way these late fall shadows make a lacy pattern on the sidewalk. Hope your weekend has been a good one. I got a lot of relaxing done at least and I'm ready for the new week to begin! For more shadows, visit Shadow Shot Sunday.

Russell's bench

It's back to the archives again. I really need to get out and do some more shooting, but my new job is keeping me super busy. In any case, hope you enjoy this shady spot in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Russell's bench looks like a pretty inviting place to sit and people watch for awhile. I might have to try it the next time I'm there!

Hope you've got big plans on the horizon for this weekend. It looks like it's going to be a relaxing one for me with my husband and some friends. Happy Friday!!!

Decorative doorway

A beautiful old building in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I love the details at the entrance, those columns and especially that art deco style lamp!

Princely hotel

We're taking another look at Niagara-on-the-Lake today. I love the facade of the Prince of Wales Hotel, maybe one of these days I'll have to go in and see if the lobby is as ornate. Until then, enjoy this view! For more signs, take a look at Signs, Signs.

The apothecary

Who can resist a bright red door like this one? It's so bright and welcoming. You'll find the old apothecary in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It was the town's first pharmacy and now is open as a museum honoring those "old days". If you like seeing red, head over to Ruby Tuesday.

Camoflage bench

This bench really blends in well with its surroundings! Perhaps only people wearing green sweaters are allowed to sit there? I found this one in the cute town of Niagara on the Lake. Hope your weekend is going well, why do they have to seem so short compared to the work week though?
