Parkette bench

Here's a last look at the Portuguese Parkette. I love the way the designers have incorporated this stone bench into the landscaping.

The parkette also included a nice little fountain to honor the pioneers. This little parkette really squeezes a lot in! I hope you have enjoyed the tour.

Floating flowers

I like the way these flower pots seem to be floating atop this fountain. A nice touch!

Fountain of memories

A lovely fountain inside the Memorial Gardens at the York Cemetery. You can have your name and a short poem inscribed on one of the boulders around this water feature. I think that's a nice way to be remembered.

More of Athens can still be seen on my travel blog. Stop by for a look!

Au revoir

A last good-bye to my "home" of the past eight weeks. It's only too bad this fountain was only switched on the last week I was here. And it was still a bit cold to sit outside and enjoy the view.

Please enjoy One a Day from Toronto on auto pilot for a few weeks. I'll be checking in when I can.

La vie de luxe

This is the foyer of the apartment building I will live in until Saturday morning. There are tons of amenities like a 24-hour concierge, swimming pool, gym, bowling alley and a golf simulation machine. It will sad to leave all of these things, but I'll be glad to have more space. It's been a tight squeeze in our little one-bedroom. I'll miss this place though.

If you like Geneva, stop by my travel blog. I'm featuring the Swiss city all week!

Water splash

They have turned on the fountain in front of my building which at least tells me we must not be expecting any more snow or temps below freezing!I love all the details of the water splashing and playing.
