Another look at the Memorial Gardens in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. I really liked this one: it consists of a bed of tulips and a stone mentioning the man who simply wanted to be remembered with a garden of colorful blooms.
If you're a fan of cemeteries, you can see more at Tapophile Tragics.

Quite sentimental, wasn't he? But kudos to whoever granted his wish to be surrounded by blooms. These yellow tulips are marvelous.
He had the right idea I think! It looks lovely. Nice catch.
How beautiful!

a colourful garden by a gravesite is such a lovely thing, I think.
I seriously would haunt anyone who 'planted' fake flowers by my grave.
He'd be happy w/ this spread of yellow.
I tell my family that when my time comes, I want to be a bench in Elizabeth Park. Might as well do something useful in a beautiful setting.
This is simply beautiful and what a great idea this man had!!
That's lovely.
that's lovely, wonder if he was a gardener.
A very good choice!
Beautifully composed shot!
thats a nice grave! i like flowers...
A beautiful way to be remembered, lovely composition Halcyon.
a generous man, indeed.
and it will get people to visit his resting place...
Lovely way to honour his wishes.
It is a lovely lowdown shot of a beautiful resting place. The yellow shows up so well in amongst all that vivid greenery.
I wonder who is charged with planting and caring for the flowers, and whether the deceased made mention of this in his will in some way. I guess it is the trustees of the cemetery in some way, as I cannot see the family keeping this going for very long.
I'd love to do something similar with a tree, but I'm also afraid of what it'll seem like if the tree dies.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
