Shiny wall

I love taking public transport. Although I have to admit for a city the size of Toronto, I don't think their system is very good. But the two subway lines we have will get you to the main spots downtown. I live on the yellow line and I often use the underground to get to the Spadina stop. I got this shiny shot with my iPhone.

This is a great shot Halcyon, nice sharp lines, fantastic perspective and the lettering crisp and clear. Love the B&W with flash of yellow.

The public transit is abominable here, I fear. AND the mayor would like to cut it back. Hmmmm.

Nice shot! I could only dream of subway lines. I have been voting for them since I moved to KC in 1995, still nothing.

At this point, in Ocala, I'd settle for any kind of public transportation that worked! That iPhone does a good job. I read yesterday that the new one will have an 8mp camera (more than you need but better than a 3mp)...

Have a great day in Toronto!

I love tile and the angle you shot this! Are the trains very crowded?

We use public transportation everywhere we go (if it's available). The last was the Paris Metro and the next this weekend will be Chicago's CTA. Toronto's subway is awfully limited for a city of such size and importance. We did ride the Red Rocket the last time we were there, which was fun but slow. Any plans to expand the system?

@Bob - the mayor was talking about building a monorail from the airport to the harborfront. I think the money would be better spent expanding the existing subway system.

@Kaori - I've never been on the subway when it's full, but I usually take it outside the main commuting times.

Neat perspective! I like to take trains, but I dislike buses.

The TTC gets very little respect these days!

I walk or take public transport, mostly buses but trains where possible. Only two lines for downtown. How many people would this service? Like what is the population of the greater city and then also the suburban city?

Point me in the direction of your subway map ...

Spadina is another street name that is pronounced differently by the locals from the way it written.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
