Storm brewing

Dark clouds on the horizon promise an evening of thunder and rain. Luckily we were able to finish our round of golf before they blew in. To see more skies from around the world, visit Skywatch.

PS: You should take a peek at my travel blog. I've been featuring old planes from the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It's a fascinating place to visit!

Does the ball travel different in humid weather like they say baseballs do? We got a shower last night, but I would take more clouds like yours.

You captured the clouds moving in very well!

Pretty. Plenty of places to lose a golf ball here.

Thx re DTW. Once I shifted over to my DSLR a year ago, I stopped carrying my little point-and-shoot in my pocket all the time, but recently I started doing it again. This trip the DTW tunnel seemed particularly colorful and I wasn't in a rush, so I could stand and wait for good colors. Yes, I did take some pix of the fountain near Starbucks. As many times as I have rushed through DTW, I had never seen the jets shooting water before. I thought it was just a big pool. If I need a reflections shot for a Friday, you just might see one of them.

Love the contrasting colors.

They seem to be the most common cloud around here these days. Keep on clicking.

Boy, do I hate to see this when on the golf course. You were lucky, 'cause I do believe I can see rain on the horizon! Lovely, if nerve-racking, shot!

I love to watch storm clouds come into the area. Unfortunately it has been extremely dry in KC this fall.

btw Folgers has ties to KC. Not sure of why this out building around Stouds had this sign. Do you ever eat at Strouds when you were here.

Nice dramatic sky!

Very dramatic. Love that there is just enough going on in the photo that it can be identified as a golf course.

A terrific capture of a moody sky.

We've seen way too much cloud and rain lately. Guess we're paying for that nice stretch over Thanksgiving. And Jeez, did it ever cool off quick last night - first time I've had to scrape the windshield this year.

Don't even mention storms... We had an awful week here. Summer suddenly became winter at its worst: heavy rains and winds up to 157kph! Gladly the sun came back yesterday although a bit shy.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
