Washed up
A log washed up on the beach of Lake Ontario. Water can be a powerful force, it washes things up and then washes them away. I wonder if this log has succumbed.

J'adore la vaguelette et les reflets du soleil. très jolie photo.
We get the same thing on the Mississippi. Come to think of it, that might be a good topic for me, too. It reminds us of powers much stronger than us.
I wonder where it traveled from? Love that you did this in B&W! Amazing shot :D
I agree. The power of the ocean is just plain scary! Love this photograph...superbly composed and the b&w adds to the drama!
Re your question on Ocala...nope, no problem. Just bumming around town trying to find some interesting things to shoot.
I love that blogging allows us to see the everyday events as an opportunity. How many times have we all walked past a log brought onto the beach by the sea. You have taken an everyday event and turned it into art, Halcyon.
Don't know why but I always find driftwood so attractive.
Sooner or later. Just wait, Halcyon.
Beautiful little sunspots glistening on the water.
Beautiful b&w shot, I can feel the sensation of the waves, it's wonderful!

love this is in b&w. that is one big piece of driftwood!
It looks like a beautiful dream.
A lovely photo! The log looks as if it's been in the water for a while, and it's showing so much texture. I love the way you've caught the water, too.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
