November theme day: Water's edge

You can find lots going on at the Lake Ontario waterfront. This is the Kajama, one of the many boats that will take you on a tour of the city's harbor and outlying areas. I have actually done the Kajama tour before, it was pretty neat to be out on the water with all the sails furled (although we were not actually "sailing", the boat has an onboard motor). When I passed by on the day back in July when this picture was taken, the crew was setting up for a wedding. I bet it was great fun!

Happy November everyone! For more interpretations of this month's theme, take a look here.

Sailing on this thing would be great fun...they have a similar boat in St. Augustine that will take you around the harbor to watch the dolphins.

That certainly is a pleasing way to experience the water's edge - nicer still that you've been able to experience it firsthand! Good shot.

Love that you did this in B&W - I agree - looks like a great spot to have a wedding.

J'adore les vieux gréements !!!

Et celui-ci en plus a l'air amenagé pour accueillir des spectateurs... :)

I went out on a ship like this in Newport, Rhode Island, a couple of years ago. It was great fun. Glad the storm and you didn't clash.

I'd be tempted to take a ride myself. A great way to see the harbour, and much better than those little putt-putt ferries we have on the coast.

I hope none of the guests were prone to seasickness! Nice photograph. :)

Great shot. I don't, of course, do the city daily photo, but if I did this week's theme would have been my favorite. Waterfronts (edges) are our favorite places to visit.

when the Tall Ships were here I took a short cruise on the other ship, The Sandy. so sad what the other Sandy has done to The Bounty and her crew.
(and everyone else, but this post is about the ships)

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
