Remember I promised to show you the inside of Honest Ed's a few weeks ago? Well, here it is!
It's a mystery to me why someone would want a giant cuckoo clock with a moosehead as the centerpiece. I guess Ed had a different sense of style than I do. To be honest, I also think it's better letting what's inside the store remain a mystery. I have to admit, the mystique of what's behind those sparkly signs has been lost. Ah well...
To see more mysterious objects from around the world, visit the CDP October Theme Day. And I have a bonus mystery object for you on my travel blog.

Honest Ed didn't have any sense of style! :D
Nice catch...
How funny---good choice for a mystery. MB
*grin* ... from what I see, let's Ed's continue to be a mystery!!
Someone, someday will purchase this and that will be a mystery too.
Funny! That clock reminded me of some of the old-timers here in Florida who sit out in the sun too long!
@Regina - I'm not sure this item is for sale. In fact, it's not even running as it was around 11am when I was at the store.
@Paul - Honest Ed aka Ed Mirvish was a strong supporter of the theater in Toronto. His style may be lacking, but he did do some good things for the city. :)
It's hugely gawdy... :)
Thanks for dropping by. Yes, I am liking it here too much- gotta leave in a couple of days. I'll try to post a few more pics later.
it is funny that cuckoo clocks were so popular
Definitely a novelty.
Good 'take' on this themes day project.
My goodness, how scary is that. I do love place like this though and this one is a great find. Love to know its history.
Honest Ed's is certainly an experience! I haven't ventured in the door in years.
What wonderful mean to measure time and life.
Please have a good new month and Sunday as well.
Personally, I like cuckoo clocks, and I have seen clocks like this before, but this particular clock has the goofiest looking moose I have ever seen!
That's like a Christmas gone bad clock. I love it!
That's a funny, mysterious MOOSE head on that cookoo clock!
My husband has been to THE Octoberfest in Germany!
We even have " a copy" of the big event in Egersund, south of Stavanger.
Anyway, your image is interesting....
Where is the little bird, saying ko-ko.ko-ko.....

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
