Cuban factory

This mural is found on the side of a building that houses a cigar factory just off West Queen West downtown. I don't recall the name of the place, but if anyone does, please remind me. I like the way the artist has tried to give you the feeling of being in Cuba - at least that's what I think a Cuban tobacco field would look like! The colors also add a nice touch to what would otherwise be a dull building. For more murals, check out Mural Mondays.

Thanks to Red Pat for adding that this mural adorns the Horvath  Cigar Manufacturers building.

Do that make 'cubans' at the factory? Kramer would love to hang out here. hahahaha

Little Cuba in Canada! Yes a great way to beautify an old building.

I like this one, long and slimline and nice landscape and colours, interesting theme too. Bravo!

Indeed that is a nice way to cover an otherwise drab wall. Looks like someone else felt the need to leave their mark on the hut in this mural... tsk, tsk...

Yes, that is nice and exotic. Pity there's a bit of a graffiti on it.

It is on the side of The House of Horvath Cigar Manufacturers. The tagging must be recent - too bad.

Yes, I think there's Cuban feeling to it. Very nice!

It doesn't happen often here, but I see murals can enlighten a bare wall elsewhere...

I bet the tropical theme brings smiles in the dead of Canadian winter. I'd actually like to see how cigars are made. Makes me wonder if they import the leaves from Cuba. At any rate, this is a fun mural that dresses up a boring wall. Too bad about the tagging. Thanks for participating in this week's Monday Mural.

How disappointing that someone felt he had to add to it! Otherwise it's quite well done.

I don't associate Cuban cigars with Toronto. Unusual.

and you managed to find a time with no cars parked in front. that seems to be a common problem that I have!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
