My mother-in-law planted this hollyhock for me last year. It has grown beautifully and put out some lovely blooms this year. Hope you are enjoying this little tour of my garden.

This is a real beauty; one of my favorite kind of flowers. They are so old-fashioned and so glorious when planted all in a row. i used to make dolls of the blossoms when I was a wee child.
Definitely a nice shade!
une tres belle couleur
J'adore. Je n'ai jamais réussi à les faire pousser...
Lovely color!

Hollyhocks remind me of my grandmother's garden so, of course, I LOVE them. :)
That is indeed gorgeous. Love the color. Did you get a new computer?
Such a gorgeous deep red!! I love the color.
i love that color!
Glad your blog is working now! :-) Lovely tour of your garden.
What an amazing colour Halcyon, never seen it before. I'm definitely enjoying the tour of your garden and wondering what tomorrow will bring.
Holy holly!
An intense color...
I actually never knew what Holly looked like until now! :)
I love hollyhocks! And that's such a gorgeous deep color.
We have some of these all over town. I love the various colors.
@TBeeque - my title may be misleading, these are hollyhocks. :)
I never knew hollyhocks were so nostalgic. I never had them growing up, but I do think they're pretty. Perhaps I will plant more as they are really easy to care for and look great! I've seen them in many of my neighbor's yards too.
Unique, and a plant I have never seen here.
Pretty and quite elegant too.
You are lucky to have a mother in law who gave you this.
Nice garden with beautiful plants. We have too much rain, and brown slugs!! Well, I am pleased about some of my plants, but some have "gone".

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
