Something about the texture of this stone wall really attracted me. I think it's even better in black and white! Does a wall count as a fence? I hope so! For more fences, visit Friday Fences.

On dirait deux yeux et un nez !
i think so...i love stone walls! nice :)
If a stone wall fences off something, it would certainly count as a fence. You may remember the old song, "Don't Fence Me In," and as I recall, it said nothing as to the makeup of the fence! :)
It's a very effective photo in b&w. Hope it's warming up for you.
I saw on the news today something about Toronto's mayor smoking crack? Say it isn't so!
I like the black and white too. I wonder too sometimes about what constitutes a "fence" but I think it's all up to us!!!
It looks like it will last forever.
I've never been to Toronto (more's the pity), but we fell in love with the stone wall fences on our trip "up East." Those definitely were built to serve as fences as I'm sure yours was. It does make a wonderful B&W picture!
Nice shot of the beautiful stonework.
I would say it does count Hal! I love rock and stone, fascinating history in rock. :) This is a wonderful example.
I really think stone/rock walls/fences are my favorite, maybe even above a split rail fence.
Beautiful b&w shot.
I love this composition and the choice for b&w is just perfect!
hugs and happy weekend,
Léia
It's wonderful in black and white! Nice shot.
Definitely a fence of sorts Halcyon. Rustic stone walls are a delight.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
