Man and koi

I found this mural on West Queen West during my recent art walk. I love the colors on this one. Once again, I couldn't find any information on the mural or the artist, but any links are welcome! In other news, today I am joining the ranks of the employed in Canada. After looking for a job for almost a year, I decided to take a position with the same company my husband works for. I'm pretty excited about it, I just hope it won't interfere too much with my blogging.

And if you'd like to see more murals, visit Monday Murals.

Great shot, looks like he is taking a big bite out of the fish! Well done and good luck with your new job.

I like the perspective in the mural. The artist did a great job with it. It's the same way I would have tried to photograph the real scene.

As a retired person I am glad to hear you have entered the Canadian work force. I like people that pay into the CPP ;-)

I thought the man was taking a bite out of the fish at first! Nice mural...good luck on the job. As someone who is retired for nearly 3 years now, I marvel that I ever had time to work because I stay so busy!

He does look like he is taking a bit out of that fish, which is a bit gross.
Good luck with your first day on the job

love Andy's comment ;)

Wow, I hope work doesn't interfere with your beautiful blog too! (I mean we have to have our priorities right ;>)!).... Seriously, congratulations on the job find.

The mural is great -- it amazes me that the artists don't demand that information about them be placed on our near their work.

I really like the bold, graphic style of this mural and its ambiguity. Have no idea what it means but it is compelling to look at. Congrats on the job. And thank you for participating in this week's Monday Mural. Hope you'll find the time to keep blogging.

Hey!!!! Congratulations, Halcyon. Back in the swirl. I hope you like the job.

(And, I like the mural . . . if the job inhibits your blogging a bit, that is life . . . we can handle it.)

Nice mural. I love the fact that the man's mouth is hidden, but the fish looks ferocious.

That's a very intricate mural there Halcyon, lots of intricate touches. Congrats on the job, how exciting.

That mural is bold and in your face! Despite the Asian subject - Chinese man with koi - it looks too aggressive to have been done by an Asian... but of course I could be dead wrong. Hope your new job brings you plenty of satisfaction.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
