General store

I had to take a quick trip back to Mennonite country. Everything is so quaint in Saint Jacobs, it really is like you've stepped back in time to the days of Little House on the Prairie. I was surprised these benches weren't in use, they look so inviting under those trees.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It looks like we're going to get some much-needed rain today. That will be good for my garden and my blogs!

My sister - from Kingston - is hitting the St Jacobs market this weekend. I'd love to be there with her.

Not much rain! Good for shopping at the market.

I expected that there be some faint writing on that wall that goes back to the 1890s. But it looks like these "general merchants" are still in business. It's truly a lovely town!

A neat place to visit -- great reminder of "olden days."

Sadly we didn't get the rain we needed. And in other sad news, my computer is having problems so I can't post any new photos. :( Looks like I'm going to have to take it to the doctor.

I'll just say I hope your special day is filled with fun and wonderful things and that you get that darn computer fixed asap. Must be very frustrating for you with a dead computer.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
