Artscape

Here's a look at the actual Wychwood Barns. These barns are actually old train storage/repair areas that have been turned into artist ateliers, a children's theater and a space for a Farmer's Market. I think it's great that the city has turned this space into something useful for the community. We should have more projects like this! For more reflections, head to Weekend Reflections.

I remember these (from a different angle) in a previous post. I thought then and still do that this was a great way of repurposing these fine structures!

This reminds me of the old auto repair shop that was transformed into ArtsRevive, a gallery and community event space here. Glad a good use was found for this building.

Oui c'est chouette la réutilisation, surtout quand c'est architecturalement réussi !

I like when old building are restaured to have a brand new fonction, completly different of what they used to be used to... It is a good way of preserving the history of a city.

I am glad that this facility has been saved. Hartford has several, with greater or lesser success. It is tough making these things work.

How wonderful! Save a historic building and give artists a place to create. What could be better?

I like it when old buildings are turned in something different and other people can use the spaces.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
