A slew of plain, but practical benches are fenced out of an area just in front of the West Toronto Baptist Church. I wonder if the church made a little part of their lawn available on purpose in order to share a bit of space with the community? I like to imagine parishioners sitting out in the sun before or after a service spending some time getting to know one another or catching up on the week's events.

Beautiful facade, I like also the fence and those benches! :)
Léia
a nice little spot to sit!
It would be a perfect place for a little visit!
I hoped they're used well. There's been an issue with vagrants taking over park benches here.
Looking friendly and inviting seems like a very good thing for a church to do. :)
It is a welcoming looking little spot to pause for a while.
These benches are just great!
Interesting catch, maybe we have to hang out during a Sunday service and see if they get used!
I could see a wedding party having their photos taken on these benches.
Parfait pour papoter avant ou après...
Cute space and I would like to think the church was gracious enough to give up a few feet of its yard. But I'm not sure of your imagination. Having had a great deal of experience with churches, I would guess that bench would be used primarily for gossip about choir members, congregant's clothing, and unruly children as well as sermon critiques. :-)
They are certainly protecting their lawn!
It was a generous act for the church to let the benches be fit into the fence in this clever way.
I like the colorful windows.
I like the mental image of parishioners gathering--I'm picturing little old ladies knitting in the sunshine for some reason. The fence is quite beautiful--all full of hearts and curlicues.
Lovely fence!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
