One year

I can't believe I've been in Toronto now for one full year. In some ways it seems like it's been much longer and in other ways it seems much shorter. In any case, I'm enjoying it if only for the myriad photo opportunities I have found here.

This is another look at the Interior Design Show. Each of these mannequins represents one of the seven continents. I'm not sure exactly what the story is behind each one, but the idea is interesting. And if you'd like to see more signs, visit Signs, Signs.

The year did go by fast.

The trial was boring, it was mortgage, wire and bank fraud. We found 4 of 5 guilty and hung on the last one. I had to tell the story at work probably 15 times. Everyone came to my desk one at a time asking.

One year already?! Wow. Interesting display. That's quite a necklace.

That year went quickly! Not sure about the mannequins - it may be one of those ideas that doesn't work when executed!

This is intriguing. What is it about each mannequin that makes it unique and like a particular continent? So many questions, so little time!

Happy one year anniversary, Halcyon! Being in a new city does offer a myriad of photo opportunities since everything is so new and exciting. This is one reason I take an hour or so to find photo ops in each town on all my business trips.
These mannequins are very odd.

Happy one year. I like the photo of mannequins but can't imagine how they tie into continents.

Interesting concept. All I can guess is the obvious, that it must be about textures.

Right. I'll admit I don't get the continental mannequins, either!
But, a year, already?! We really must get out on another photowalk (as soon as my cold leaves and the warmer weather comes back)

Oh wow, time really goes by so fast! I hope you've been loving your no-longer-quite-new home.

Which one is Asia's? I guess I'm showing my age when I say that I like the mirror mannequin because it reminds me of discos. :p

Wow! One whole year. I remember when you first came here. I told you the secret of how to get milk out of the plastic bags ;-) I'm glad you stayed because thanks to you I got to see more sights in the area.

It's exciting to feel at home in your City, but not so at home that you aren't still having fun exploring it!

@Ciel - mon mari dit qu'il y a cinq continents aussi. Apparemment les européens ne compte pas l'Antarctique et l'Australie comme continents.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
