Although they are not as prominent as the signs in say, Paris or New York, the Toronto Transit Commission does advertise its subway stops with a small sign. This is the entrance to Spadina station which is on the University-Spadina side of the yellow line. I frequent this station quite a bit and just happened to be there a few days ago when it was sunny and all the snow had melted.
If you'd like to see more signs, take a look at Signs, Signs.

I haven't been on the subway in years! But I have taken the Go Train - a different experience. I never even though to take a photo of the sign in East Gwillimbury last time I was there! Shame n me. :)
ca ne ressemble pas a une entree de metro, j'aime bien cette construction en brique
I probably would have missed that one.
That's the Canadian way, understated .... or in this case, undersigned!
Love that roof! Congratulations to your father.
Funny name for a station, in Italian it is 'little sword'...
The yellow line?
Anyway, I like the TTC logo. and that it hasn't ever changed.
That one looks pretty faded!
since i've never lived anywhere with a subway system, my first thought was subway sandwiches lol
when in a new city i always try the subway.

Et maintenant je me souviens de ce qu'est le TTC. Je crois savoir où ce banc va finir...
Bon anniversaire à Papa !
The building is very indistinct. I probably would have missed the sign, too! :)
I used to love these days when I lived in the north country ... sunny and melting snow! Very nice. And the best thing is you have a subway!
I could see this one, and I think the building is typical of newer tube stations. genie
if the signs in NY were that small there'd be a frustrated riot!! :)
pretty scene
That's an interesting building... Arches and a funny roof.
Nice capture.
Oh how I wish KC had a subway or mass transit system.
we don't have a subway here, taking a subway is always exciting for me.:p

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
