This past week's cooking class landed on Valentine's Day, so our instructor thought it would be a good week for making pies. He gave us a recipe for coconut cream and they all seemed to turn out really well. Some people even used the cream to make cute decorations, like this heart.
Which looked like this when it was finished. Very cute! If you like hearts, take a look at Random Hearts, it's sure to make you smile.

C'est sympa mais on dirait qu'elle n'est pas assez cuite...

Léia :)
It looks delicious and is perfect for Valentine's Day! Yummy :D
did you get to eat the finished product? We get paid for jury duty, parking and miles. My work deducts the jury duty pay out of my paycheck and pays me the difference. No verdict yesterday, so we go back today.
@Ciel - le coconut cream pie est toujours blanche. C'est aussi le genre du pie qui est utiliser pour les "pie fights". :)
@Jim - we got to make one pie each and take them home with us. Usually we eat at the end of class, but it took so long for the crusts to bake, etc. that we had to eat at home.
hee hee....
«Louis» never met a coconut cream pie he didn't like!
;-D
You gotta have heart! I love coconut cream pie. Haven't had any in years. What am I supposed to do now? Where would I find a coconut cream pie with a heart? Why do you torture me this way?
P.S. I agree about this utterly stupid change on the part of Blogger. And it's really hard to find anyone to complain to. Ugh?
Wow - looks great!
Oh this looked like a fun class.
How fun to create a pie with heart topping! Looks yummy too. :)
That is a wonderful portrait, Halcyon. I like natural portraits in which the subject is going about his or her business and not looking at the camera.
I love coconut cream pie!
Looks yummy!:)
I have a sweet tooth so, YUM!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
