I saw this work of art at the Gardiner Museum a few weeks ago. There was actually a contest going on and this was one of the works in the running. It's a porcelain chain-link volcano entitled Shelter. For more red, take a look at Ruby Tuesday.

bon choix pour le theme "rouge" mais une oeuvre assez bizarre
I'd be more inclined to call it "meat grinder". Olivier has it right, bizarre.
C'est "original"...
I agree with Paul. This looks like meat grinder more than lava.
Well, it is interesting for sure and I'm glad you told me what was supposed to represent 'cause my first thought was, "Wow, what a lot of worms!" :-)
For the record, I did not vote for this work. But you have to admit, it's an interesting use of porcelain. All of the works had to be clay/porcelain/earthenware of some sort as that is the medium the Gardiner focuses on.
I thought of Cheesies when I saw your pic. I don't think i'd vote for this one!
This is great. I don't care for it, but I love going to museums and seeing things like this, because the next one might be the thing that singes my eyeballs and makes me gasp.
BTW, you don't know how "on" you were today about my travel and blogging.
Very creative!
Léia
Did you touch it?
Great idea, so cool!
OK I sort of get this one a little bit more than I do the one in the post above...but that's not saying too much. (However, my opinion on works of art means zilch. I know nothing.)
That looks like RED macaroni..
Visiting from Ruby Tuesday 2- hope you can stop by..

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
