This is rather an unattractive mural, in my opinion. But it's something to look at in the otherwise dirty, dull back alleys off Spadina. For a look at more attractive murals, take a look at Mural Mondays.

A photographic look at life in the Greater Toronto Area

It may not appeal to your aesthetic sense, but it's colorful!
j'aime bien ce type de fresque murale, toute en couleur
I agree with you: it is quite ugly and the colors are murky...
all that angular writing looks angry, to me.
yeah, not so much a fan of it here either!
We have a local "endorsed" tagging wall that looks somewhat like this, yup, ugly.
I am not a big fan of this type of 'throw-up' either.
Not my idea of attractive either. ;)a
Quite international, and perhaps an area where young and not so young people are happy to ad their signature to color the city. We have people who are out doing it all the time, and people from the consel who are payed well to get it off again.... (Read:paid by tax-payers money)
Anyway, some see art and some just see it as tagging.
Lots of work and colors have been used.
For me the challenge is trying to decipher what the tags say. I'm hopeless at this. This isn't my favorite kind of street art; but I console myself in the knowledge that "throw ups" are often the gateway to the creation of more representational art. Thanks, Halcyon, for contributing to Monday Mural.
The building itself is hardly a masterpiece so I think this was an improvement.
It is not for me, either, but I am an old fashioned kind of guy.
I like the idea they put beautiful colors in this mural!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
