The blue hour

The blue hour is that time in the evening when it's not quite light and not quite dark. And this blue hour was made even better with a lovely tree lit up for the holiday season. Hope the weekend ahead is looking good for you. For more skies, take a look at Skywatch.

The blue hour is one of my favorite times of day, although I've never heard it called that before. I like it. The photo is gorgeous!

@longbeach - the blue hour comes from a French expression, l'heure bleue.

The blue hour? I didn't know the phrase, but it fits. The time right after the passage of the golden hour.

I never heard the term 'blue hour' . It's the perfect name for this beautiful time of day -- which your picture captures perfectly. Thanks for sharing -- and teaching!

That Christmas Tree is perfection in that photo. You are right, that blue hour photo is made even better because of the tree.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
