Barren benches

After reading about the Wychwood Barns on Red Pat's blog, I finally made it over there this past weekend. There wasn't much going on, but it was a neat place to walk around. I bet these benches and trees look a lot different in the spring and summer. Maybe I'll have to come back and see!

They look lonely.

The place has "good bones." I'll bet it does look good in the spring and summer. You will have to show us.

Yes, I hope you'll show us what it looks like in the spring too! What are those things in the distance that look like flames?

Ca m'a l'air d'être un quartier paisible. Oui, que sont ces flammes ?

Peaceful day there, the benches are beautiful, I like the houses on the background and I'm also curious about the orange lights in this image, really beautiful!
Happy weekend,
Léia

Hee! The "flames" are the lights above the pedestrian crosswalk. They're big Xs to get the attention of drivers. I think they just look funny here b/c my aperture was wide.

it's still a bit chilly to have a seat but i love the glow of the lamps in the background!

Your title is perfect, they do look very barren!

It'll be interesting to see if they're used when the mercury rises.

Even on a sunny day now the playground is a busy place but you have certainly captured the greyness we are dealing with at this time of year!

I have never been there. AH! Maybe I'll go there this spring too. :)

The benches need some people to warm them up! :-)

The benches serve a useful purpose, regardless of the season. Yes, do photograph this spot in both spring and summer.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
