Toronto's fallen firefighters are remembered at The Last Alarm monument in downtown Toronto. The sculpture was designed by Yolanda vanderGaast and it's quite moving. Luckily I stopped by on a blue sky day and even caught some reflections in the granite (plus a bonus autoportrait!).
It's also worth getting a closer look at the details of the statue. These brave men and women certainly deserve a memorial. There are names on the Honor Roll going back to the 1800s.

Joli monument et du coup, reflets originaux (quoique pour l'autoportrait, on ne voie pas grand chose !!!)
A great monument for people who deserve it.
Is that a falcon on top?
Firefighters are so brave. Very worthy memorial.
A deserved tribute!
I really like this monument!
I can't believe I haven't seen this monument. Where is it? Is that the Mars building in the background? Great post and pictures!

@Steve - this monument is at College and Queen's Park.
Well done, Halcyon. I have long wondered what you look like. Now that I have seen you in the reflection shot, . . . I still have no idea!
Amazing tribute.
Very well thought image for the homage... Quite moving indeed!
God bless you!

Beautifully composed tribute Halcyon, the firefighters deserve the highest respect! Good to see a little glimpse of the woman behine the camera!
A well deserved memorial,,,
Beautiful tribute.
Working with reflections is always fun. And this one has a stirring message. Well done.
Beautiful captures of this wonderful memorial to brave people.
They should get a medal just for getting decked out in those Scott airpacks - I've had the training, they're not much fun after even a short period of time.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
