Firefighting reflections

Toronto's fallen firefighters are remembered at The Last Alarm monument in downtown Toronto. The sculpture was designed by Yolanda vanderGaast and it's quite moving. Luckily I stopped by on a blue sky day and even caught some reflections in the granite (plus a bonus autoportrait!).

It's also worth getting a closer look at the details of the statue. These brave men and women certainly deserve a memorial. There are names on the Honor Roll going back to the 1800s.

Joli monument et du coup, reflets originaux (quoique pour l'autoportrait, on ne voie pas grand chose !!!)

I can't believe I haven't seen this monument. Where is it? Is that the Mars building in the background? Great post and pictures!

They should get a medal just for getting decked out in those Scott airpacks - I've had the training, they're not much fun after even a short period of time.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
