I promise I won't subject you to any more bushing shots (for awhile) after today. These are some of the bigger models that are produced at my husband's factory. The rods and the oil are inside and you can see the expansion tanks on the top. All these guys need is a run in the test facility and they'll be ready to go!

This factory is in Ajax?
The electricity theme certainly has caught your fancy!
They're really tall, better not mess with those guys... :)
God bless you!
Cezar
Factory shots make for some interesting designs.
So are they casting the insulators in that plant? Would need huge kilns!
They are ready to go and looking around for a cab.
Ca fait vraiment des super, super photos !
They are so huge!
I've really been enjoying your building shots! I think they're all very artistic and well done.
a bit like the inside of a gigantic accordion
yes, my mind is an odd thing :)
Another great photo except I have no idea of what I'm looking at...what are these bushings used for?
I have found the bushings interesting, I never knew what you have showed us this week. Plus you have produced fabulous photos.
That makes a graphically strong image but just what are these gizmos supposed to do?
Very cool.
Unusual forms - fun to see!
Wishing you a good start to the new week!
cool shot!
@Andy - this factory is in Ajax. It's on Bayly and Monarch, not far from the water.
@Lowell & Bob - bushings are what connects the transformer to the power lines and to the power source (i.e. a generator). You always have a set of high side bushings and a set of low side bushings as the job of the transformer is to transform the electricity either up or down.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
