The Dalai Lama wears flip flops

I hope you enjoyed my little side track on bushings and transformers. It's funny, but I sort of miss them! Now we're back to the Bata museum to see the Dalai Lama's shoes. He has apparently visited Toronto a number of times and on one of his visits, he donated this simple pair of Bata brand flip flops to the museum. He really is a man of simplicity, but I'm not sure these are good for his arches!

Interesting donation, simple as it could be!
He visited Brazil a few times and I regret never having attended one of his seminars.
God bless you!

Wonderful composition! Flip flops are my favourite footwear. Actually, you can wear them here 6 months a year. :-)

The Dalai Lama has no arches. Monks are not allowed arches. :-) I'm sure the museum was glad to get these flip flops, though!

Re your questions: Like anything new there is a learning curve, but this one was very slight. It's mostly a drag and drop operation. Some things aren't as intuitive as they could be but it would have helped if I had read some "Helps" before I started out! :-)

What I like is everything is right there - it's a real website to which your blogs are attached. And you can add a variety of pages if you so desire.

Go to weebly.com and look things over. You could give it a try; nothing to be lost doing that. I'll keep my Blogger blogs up for awhile but from what I've seen so far, I think Weebly is my future! I did entire site in less than two days, working on and off...

Apt post, as the 15-day Losar holiday - for the Tibetan New Year - is currently being celebrated.

I will never look at flip flops the same way again. Really.

I enjoyed seeing the transformer posts . . . from one who knows about the technology.

Your photo of the Dalkai Lama and his footwear is very nicely composed. (I don't like flip flops; no support.

Great shot.

Yes indeed he does. Interesting how in Australia we call "flip-flops" "thongs" and in Greek they are called "sayonaras" :-)

We call them "flip-flops", one of many words we just use like we (Norwegians) had created the word.

I guess NIKE etc. would have loved to give him some good shoes!:)

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
