Here's a look at the master bedroom of the Mackenzie House. It's quite simple, but that bed does look comfortable. I've got a more royal bedroom up on my travel blog today. Stop by for a look!

A photographic look at life in the Greater Toronto Area

Very nice! I'll bet in it's day this was considered better than "simple".
un lit a l'ancienne, cela me rappelle les lits dans la maison de mes grands parents quand j’étais enfant
Halcyon if you keep on going to the museums you will soon be an expert on Canadian history.
I can even see the "slop jar" tucked neatly under the bed.
That could be my grandmother's master bedroom, especially with that wallpaper and the quilt. Very nice.
Much cozier than the royal boudoir! :-)
@Paul - Mackenzie was actually not a wealthy man. He even spent part of his life in debtor's prison. The city gave him this house for his retirement, but his earlier digs would have been even simpler, I think.
I really like the intimate feeling of this small bedroom; I followed your link and decided I prefer this room to the royal palace bedroom.
Re. the Cowboy museum, in OKC: I took few photos because there were so many restrictions on photography and I didn't want to make a mistake. The "End of the Trail" sculpture is so impressive, I didn't feel like taking any other photos. It was the second time I've been there ad each time I am totally entranced and impressed.
The room is kept spic 'n span!
Yes, I am on an ice kick. Soon it will gone and everyone will be complaining about the heat. :))
It does look cozy, doesn't it?
Je parie que ça sent bon la cire, non ?
Très jolie chambre! Je me sentirais bien plus à l'aise dans celle-ci;o)

Belle semaine, Halcyon****
Nice room but I am not much for wallpaper.
Not my style.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
