Very nice! I'll bet in it's day this was considered better than "simple".

Halcyon if you keep on going to the museums you will soon be an expert on Canadian history.
I can even see the "slop jar" tucked neatly under the bed.
That could be my grandmother's master bedroom, especially with that wallpaper and the quilt. Very nice.
Much cozier than the royal boudoir! :-)
@Paul - Mackenzie was actually not a wealthy man. He even spent part of his life in debtor's prison. The city gave him this house for his retirement, but his earlier digs would have been even simpler, I think.
I really like the intimate feeling of this small bedroom; I followed your link and decided I prefer this room to the royal palace bedroom.
Re. the Cowboy museum, in OKC: I took few photos because there were so many restrictions on photography and I didn't want to make a mistake. The "End of the Trail" sculpture is so impressive, I didn't feel like taking any other photos. It was the second time I've been there ad each time I am totally entranced and impressed.
The room is kept spic 'n span!
Yes, I am on an ice kick. Soon it will gone and everyone will be complaining about the heat. :))
