Memorial walk

A closer look at the memorial walk I showed yesterday. As some commenters expressed, it does seem a sort of strange place for remembering those who are no longer with us.

But this additional plaque explains that those who are remembered here were part of Sarnia's elite - those craftspeople who helped build the city and make it what it is today. A nice way to be remembered!

I actually think it's a great idea. Our local effort is a wall, I go look at it often, as after 40 years here I knew an awful lot of the people named there.

I've seen something similar to this before. Nice shots.

I like this idea - the paving stones are needed so it becomes a useful memorial. Just be careful who you step on!

These brick pathways are very common around here, especially as fundaraisers. At the local animal shelter where I volunteer, most of the bricks are in memory of a loved one - both four footed and bipedal.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
