Another mural from inside Central Technical School. These two girls seem to be engrossed in a chemistry experiment. I love the colors on this mural and the fact that the artist features female students as chemistry is a science often more associated with males.

belle peinture murale, avec ces etudiants
Bright and cheery if nothing else. Though I can't make out what that thing on the upper right is. Seems to throw a skew into the thing.
On dirait qu'elles se demandent si ça ne va pas exploser ! :-)
Very interesting mural!I'm sure girls are succeeding this class very well! ;)
Have a nice week ahead dear Hal,

Why does this mural remind me of something from the 1940s or 50s? Is it he ladies hair style?
A mural that is better than many paintings...
@Paul - oddly enough, I think it's a fire extinguisher. :)
@Andy - now that you mention it, the hairstyles do look a little 1940s.
I love this too!
I agree with everything you said. Very cool!
Very cool! I especially like the blonde's face. :-)
I'm with you about connecting girls to math and science. Better than showing them cooking in Home EC class. Like the swim team, this mural has a sweet, naive quality that speaks from another era. You've found a treasure trove of murals in this high school. Thanks, Halcyon, for participating in this week's Monday Mural.
Great for a lab! I went to an all girls school and somehow we didn't realize that girls aren't supposed to like science or math.
I love that these are girls in the science lab.
I really enjoyed seeing this mural
Beautiful mural, I love their expression, in awe.
Yes, I agree, great to see females portrayed in non-traditional roles. But by golly... do we still NEED to do this? (Yes, I know we do; it just tires me now that we evolve so slowly.)
Fantastic mural, love it!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
