I love it when modern architecture is added to an older building and I think it works very well in this particular instance. This building is part of the University of Toronto capmpus: the glass, steel and brick all combine to make something wonderful! If you 'd like to see more reflections, visit Weekend Reflections.
PS: Happy Friday the 13th! I hope today will be lucky for me, I have my very first job interview in Canada. Please send good thoughts my way!

I agree - it looks good.
Moi aussi j'aime bien les mélanges de styles architecturaux mais tu es sûre que la partie en briques est plus ancienne ?
Pour l'entretien : merde ! :-)
That's very clever merging although the brick building itself doesn't look too old to me? Perhaps it is in good condition.
Good luck with the job!

No privacy in this building.
Friday the 13th is not unlucky. Just ask all the bikers that converge on Port Dover.
Dear Halcyon, I rarely think to look at this wonderful site of yours - I seem to just be into your other one and its so silly because this one is just sensational too! Really wonderful.
I digress - a job interview!! Good thoughts from Oz and I've got everything crossed for you!! Go get 'em girl, show 'em what you're made of! (Er, you do know you've more or less volunteered an update now.... :)
I agree with you. And this is a fine example. I really like all those reflections in the glass.
It looks like a new building built on top of an old building, kinda neat.
Old and new fit quite well together. Foe your interview: in bocca al lupo!
With snow!! Good luck today.
You and Jack HDP are on the same wave length. This is a superb building.
I send good thoughts on the job interview.
Interesting combo. I hope the interview went well.
I think the old and new meld well too.
Oh yeah... agree! Well done mix of new glass with old bricks. Hope your interview went swimmingly!
@All - the interview went well, although I'm not really 100% sold on the job. We'll see what happens.
@Ciel & Chrissy - I don't know if the brick is actually an old building, but the style is more traditional. Maybe that's the word I should have used - traditional and modern. Anyway, you know what I mean. :)
Modern building and you have clever eyes, the reflections are great!

Great shot of the reflections and I love the new hat on top of the classic suit :-)

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
