Living quarters

We were told that in the old days, the family that owned the mill would have actually lived onsite. This is an approximation of what their quarters might have looked like. Mom and Dad would probably sleep in the bed and there would have been another mattress underneath that could be pulled out for the children to share. I'm still glad I live in modern times!

The tone of the photo makes it look a bit bleak. I guess that there could be worse things, tho, than living in that era...like living in Somalia right now.

Whew! At first I thought this was the master suite of the new house you bought in Toronto! :-)

I prefer modern, too!

Yes, we are spoiled today, and I prefer it.

Mystic Pizza was two blocks to the left. I had so many useful shots that day, it was hard to decide what to show.

I like that we are spoiled today, but i do also like to look at these quarters from years ago. The woodwork is just fabulous.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
