John Kay

Another grave stone from the Toronto Necropolis. It appears to be quite an old stone, I love the white and gray and all the carved details.

To see more cemetery shots, take a look at Tadophile Tragics.

I think John Kay has been gone so long he's not in anyone's "loving memory" any more - but it does make for a nice picture!

I like how you composed this.

What is delicious about this is the depth of stone with which the mason had to work his wonders. Gives the appearance of luxury to my eyes.

Nice angling, and showing of the soot stained stone.
I used to know a John Kay... but he would have been much younger.

Brilliant composition with just enough info to whet one's appetite for more! This must have cost a fortune even in the "good old days"!

This reminds me of some old cathedral door mixing classical and Gothic styles! Great perspective!

Very nice composition, Halcyon. I like that you came in close, chose just part to emphasize, and did it at a sharp angle. Bravo.

A dignified grave stone. After reading about the Toronto Necropolis, I began wondering where the stone was quarried. Do you know?

It is a very interesting headstone and looks to be in good condition for its age!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
