Square one

As promised, here's a look at the centrepoint of Sunday's "cobblestone" shot. I couldn't find any information about this piece on the internet, but I'm curious to know what it all means. I am assuming it has something to do with the First Nations tribes that certainly lived in this area before the Europeans. I found it quite interesting and would love to know more!

I'm considered this a sign of sorts and if you'd like to see more, visit Signs, Signs.

Intéressant en effet, avec ce canoë. Je n'arrive pas vraiment à voir les autres éléments.

Interesting, though the symbols on the left certainly don't connote First Nations to me. Can't make out the upper right graphic, but I'd be more inclined to think it portrays elements of the city's history.

Sorry everyone. I think I had a brain fart when I posted this. I realize now that Today is Tuesday and not Wednesday! But it will still be my sign for tomorrow and I hope some people who've been in the GTA for awhile might be able to shed some light on this one. :)

Very cool! I realize now that my sense of scale regarding the other shot was wrong! :-)

I don't know what it means, either. Looks rather like a sundial...showing longitudes.

It's quite beautiful for sure.

Re your comment on Ocala: Those kids were not in school because it was what's called an "Early Release" day which means the kids get out early and the teachers get to go to meetings! Stupid!

It's very interesting looking. I hope you'll tell us if you find out more about it.

Makes for a good photographic subject in any case!

It does look like a sundial. I did look up some info about the MIssissauga on the internet. Interesting.

I think the Jayhawk's gave us such a fabulous and exciting year. Unbelievably, they took us to the biggest stage in college basketball. Unfortunately, John Calipari's win validated his one and done philosophy. Now other McDonalds All American will want to go to Kentucky, play one year and get drafted to the NBA.

This looks really neat.
And so symbolic, as we continue to walk all over the once proud Mississaga Nation!

I wish there were more of us who rely on comment moderation rather than the eye killer words. Blogger has caught all of the weird ones put them into the spam category for me. Then I dumped them. My husband and I are both intrigued with this piece. I am hoping someone reads the post who knows the answer to the question. It is a wonderful contribution to the meme this week. genie

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
