September theme day: People watching

I love to do a little people watching inside the subway. I actually caught this shot back in July when the Olympics were still on. There were maple leaves almost everywhere in support of Canadian athletes. I'm not sure these people had the Olympics on their minds as they were waiting for the subway, but who knows? Perhaps some of them have Olympic dreams of their own!

It's the first of the month again. If you'd like to see more contributions to the CDP Theme Day, click here. I've also go a bonus people shot on my travel blog.

People watching is such a great pastime. And you have lots more people to watch where you are!

Fantastic choice for the theme day. Great composition, BTW.

Wonderful Theme Day shot! I think the maple leaves should stay there permanently.

Excellent image for today's theme Halcyon, love the blurred motion of the train moving through the station and the vibrant colours. The guy leaning against the post is definitely dreaming about running in the Olympics, I can just tell!

J'adore le mouvement du métro et les couleurs. C'est presque dommage qu'ils n'aient mis les feuilles d'érable que pendant les JO, je trouve que ça égaye !

Love all the colors in this and the way you, as photographer, seem to be totally out of the scene as if you're watching it from a far-away vantage point.

Actually, I think most of them are wondering what they're gonna have for lunch. :-)

There always seems to be something to watch on the subway platforms!

Cool photo for Theme Day. Mass transit offers many chances to people watch. Part of the collage I've posted today is a photo I took on my homeward bound bus.

Love the motion of the train compared to the stillness of the people. Very nice interpretation of the theme!

Here you give us some people watching in color.I think I have to go with the block and white above. In a way it is much more dramatic. Both are fine captures. genie

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
