Sweet rest

Young Jim Logan has been resting in this spot  in Hamilton Cemetery since 1937. A very nice tribute to him from his loving wife, Evelyn. For more cemetery shots, visit Tapophile Tragics.

I wonder if Evelyn is with him. She's not mentioned on the stone.

He died young. That's sad. He was born the year after my dad.

Yes, he certainly died young, and the wording mentions that he was 'in need of sleep'. Not an easy end by the sounds of it. Assuming that Evelyn was younger, I do hope she remarried.

Umm ... the stone-mason was a bit slack though, don't you think. I'd make him rub it out and do it all over agin!

I feel a need to fill in that big blank bit on the page. perhaps some symbolic carving?

Hopefully Evelyn went on for many more years!

Beautiful b&w shot.

So many questions. Why so young? Why the blank? What happened to the wife?

This is nice and simple. But, like other people, I wonder about what happened to him...

yes, i agree with julie, the mason could have done a better job. its nice, the stone as a book, but the inscription is not so well done...

Sentiments expressed are genuine enough...

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
