August theme day: Numbers

Ottawa has more than historical buildings to offer, they also have a lovely open air market right in the heart of downtown. I saw lots of appetizing and interesting things, like these purple and yellow cauliflowers. I also think the price tag of $1.50 per head is not too outrageous.

Unfortunately, it appears the CDP portal is down again. Until it is fixed, you can visit the temporary theme day site here. And you can always see more signs at Signs, Signs.

Those are healthy looking cauliflower in a choice of colors! Never have eaten other than white, but I'm assuming they taste the same?

These 'flowers' are pretty too.

@Olivier - le C$ est presque a parite avec le US$. Le C$ vaut un peu pres .97 cents en US$.

That is a good price! I like that colorful cauliflower too. I've never seen it before.

I'll take a nice yellow one, thank you! - especially at that price, which is dirt cheap compared to our local supermart.

Nice and interesting.
I have never seen a yellow cauliflower, so I would have bought one, and it is a good price too I think.

I know nothing about cauliflower prices, but I do know a good colorful photo when I see one and this is nicely done, numerically speaking, of course!

and these do look very healthy with a deep, rich colour.
I guess if you were on holidays, you didn't buy one to see how it tasted?

They look good to me, but all I know about cauliflower is how to eat them.

Have never seen the colored cauliflower before. The $1.50 price sounds quite reasonable.

I, too, have never seen yellow or purple cauliflower. I wonder if it tastes different? I've seen green cauliflower where it is blended with broccoli and called "broccoliflower". It tasted like cauliflower.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
