Doorway to other places

There is a wonderful Picasso exhibit at the AGO right now. If you haven't been yet, it's still on until August 26th. The space at the AGO is perfect for this show and it's so artfully arranged and curated. Picasso is already one of my favourite artists, but I really feel I learned a lot about him and his work from this show. So if you're in the area, GO to the AGO! You won't regret it.

Take a look at more signs from around the world at Signs, Signs.

One of the downsides to living in a small semi-isolated community is the time and expense it takes to get to the city for shows like this. I'd love to go to AGO!

Ben oui mais c'est un peu loin pour moi ! Et puis à vrai dire, je ne suis pas une énorme fan de Picasso... En revanche, j'aime bien ces lettres rouges !

Sounds interesting. I checked through the Internet about the exhibition. I hope to see them in Japan.

I visited a private home yesterday, shooting some interior photos for a book. The owner showed me some of his art collection which included a signed Picasso lithography.

Okay, what does AGO stand for? I dunno. I'd go if I did. Well, I'd have to get to Toronto. That could be a problemo.

Picasso is one of your favorites, heh? I've always thought his work looked like what some kid did in a first grade art class. :-))

@Lowell, AGO is Art Gallery of Ontario.
I would not have taken you for a Picasso lover. You should go again for me, if you want.

Sorry, I can't really stand that pompous egomaniac...

@VP - aren't all artists sort of pompus egomaniacs? I don't think they could do what they do without a lot of self-confidence. :)

@Ciel - les ouvres viennent de la musée Picasso a Paris. Peut-être ils feront le même "show" là-bas quand le tour est fini.

I admit that most of Picasso's art is not something I'd want to hang on my walls. But I do think he was a very creative person. And he certainly had talent.

Great shot and the Picasso exhibition looks like a fantastic plan for me.

Interesting acronym. It does grab the eye.

I might have to venture into the city to see this! :))

What a great acronym for the Museum! I'd love to go to that exhibit. But I will be lucky if I make it to Portland this summer (our nearest city big enough for an art museum)... the excitement of living in a big city is something we definitely don't have!

I want a big R like that for my office.

The graphic designer who chose the big orange letters did a great job! Love the sign. Picasso had so many different periods that I find it hard to say that I love him or hate him. Some works and periods were amazing, some I would reject. Glad you enjoyed the exhibition.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
