And we're back to the Elgin Wintergarden Theater! When the theatre was being renovated, they discovered lots of remnants from the vaudeville days, like this old flat. This garden backdrop would have been used for light, musical numbers. I can just imagine the ladies twirling a parasol and singing a light ditty in this scene. It looks to be in great condition!
I can picture Jeanette McDonald twirling that parasol and singing her heart out. Amazing it has lasted given decades of neglect. Hope they can restore it. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
Do you think they'll take the time to restore it Halcyon? After surviving this long it could do with a bit of TLC. A beautiful image for the facade theme.
Great idea and wonderful backdrop.
A lovely interpretation of the theme and kudos on your eye!
Truly delightful!

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
